GAMEBOY ADAVNCE is a successor machine of GAMEBOY series, and this handheld game console can run the titles of both GAMEBOY and GAMEBOY.
Both GAMEBOY and GAMEBOY equip 8-bit CPU, however GAMEBOY ADVANCE equips 32-bit CPU. This can improve display capabilities such as pseudo 3D, translucent processing, and image overlay.
In GAMEBOY ADVENCE SP released in February 2003, a reflective TFT color LCD with a front light was introduced into the new type device. And then it succeeded in overcoming the drawback that it is difficult to watch its screen in the dark.
The sales in Japan was 8980,000, and the global sales was recorded 15,520,000.
